Help Bali Kids

Updated: Oct 19, 2021

One of the most common comments from overseas friends in 2020 / 2021 is:

“Gosh, Bali must be suffering terribly, I wish I could help because I love Bali and can’t wait to come back”.

MUTE Garage Bali is passionate about community efforts and is now offering members and friends a way to really help on the island they treasure and love so much.

At present, our two charity partners are Stella’s Child & Hope for Bali Children. Both are organisations that work with disadvantaged children and both are close to the Canggu / Seminyak area. Both are run by tireless workers who have dedicated their lives to making a difference to the lives of youth.

Funds donated using the secure PayPal payment on our website are sent IN FULL on a monthly basis to the two charities with an even split between both.

We also have made it possible for you to set up a recurring payment plan if you want to set and forget a recurring donation.

Hope Children’s Home Orphanage

Established in 1974 by Rev. Kadek Daniel and his wife, this orphanage currently has 50 children from 2 – 19 years old. Rev. Kadeks daughter, Trisnawathy now manages the home.

Upon meeting Tris and the kids, it was impossible not to want to help. Tris is a happy, jovial woman who cares for the children as if they were her own, and the kids are well mannered, kind and happy.

School fees are not free in Bali, and a donation of 250k (AUD$25) – 350k(AUD$35) a month will pay for the monthly school fees for a junior or senior school child. A recurring donation will make a big difference to

Meet some of the children on the Hope Children’s Home Orphanage Instagram page. Contact us for donations of clothing, toys or healthcare goods and we can arrange you to visit and Tris and her children.

Stella’s Child

Stella’s Child exists to support Indonesian youths from deeply disadvantaged backgrounds as they prepare to leave their homes and orphanages and enter the world of work.

They are an efficient and highly effective grassroots organization that equips these youths, aged 6-20, with the skills they need to succeed in life and break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.

MUTE Garage Bali has participated in some of the activities in the Stella’s Child youth mentorship program and feels very strongly this unique charity is an integral part of helping youths from disadvantaged backgrounds.

You can find out more about the amazing work Stella’s Child is doing in Bali on their website or Instagram.

Please donate today, and please share this story with other people who miss Bali and want to help in some way. We will continue to provide updates to you!
